Grandma Deb gives to Hospice Simcoe
Hospice Simcoe recently received a very generous donation from Grandma Deb. She presented a cheque for $1,200 from proceeds of her fruitcake sales this past Christmas. Selling fruit cake started out as a way to make a few dollars after injuring her back doing the job she loved which was nursing. Five years and at least ten thousand fruit cakes later, here she is with a 130 year old family recipe that has literally gone all over the world and was featured on CBC’s Made in Canada.
