Dogs Cruise the Mall!
A school bus full of commendable teens and their canine companions arrived at Georgian Mall ready to test their skills! The fourteen service dog teams created a remarkable sight as they spent an hour traveling throughout the mall, practicing the commands and behaviours required of full public access service dogs. The high school youth trainers are part of the Nantyr Shores High School Assistance Dog Program supported by Barrie's C.O.P.E. Service Dogs Charity. There are so many opportunities for passionate volunteers to contribute to the raising and training of these unique and special service dogs... be sure to find out more at www.copedogs.org
