Picture The City

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and Barrie residents were recently asked to rise to the challenge. The City of Barrie launched ‘Picture the City,’ a community photo contest aimed at depicting life in our beautiful city. The contest was part of the celebration commemorating Barrie’s 50th anniversary. SNAP stopped in at the City Hall Rotunda to visit with some of the winners and have a look at their beautiful work. The contest was open to photographers of all ages with categories including; Nature and Landscape,
Heritage and Architecture, People and Culture along with a youth category. Henry’s in the Bayfield Mall, supplied the first prize winners with a $100 gift card and gift bag, while second place winners received a $50 gift card and gift bag. Thank you to all the participants and congratulations to all the winners!
